Homecoming Week...

Homecoming Week for Lyndsie was so crazy!!! It was so jam packed with activities, early morning practices, assemblies, homework, and more activities! I am not sure how these cheerleaders coped with it. Lyndsie had some bad luck on top of everything else...on Friday, when the week was just about over, McKenna came to pick Lyndsie up early to get ready for the assembly that the cheerleaders were performing at. On their way to school they got in a car accident. A UTA bus hit them in the intersection close to the high school going about 30 miles per hour. No one was hurt too bad, except McKenna's poor car. McKenna and Lyndsie suffered some neck pain and sore muscles, but other than a few tears, everyone was okay. I will never forget the feeling of getting a phone call at 5:45 in the morning, getting the news of the accident, and driving up there so fast. It really makes you realize that bad things can happen, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think that things could have been so much worse if it had been just a second difference in time. We are so grateful that Lyndsie and McKenna are safe...they performed at the assembly, decorated for the football game and even cheered at the game. That didn't take away the fact that both of them were pretty shook up with sick stomachs and headaches. I felt so bad for them, but I am so glad that life went on as usuall!! Here are some pictures of the week...

Lyndsie went to the Homecoming Dance with other cheerleaders because the cheerleaders were in charge of it. Her group went to a Chinese Restaurant for dinner and then went to the dance together to hang out so they could help clean up when the dance was over. Wow, what a long week!
