We just got new carpet, it is one week old and Sam was walking behind the chairs in the living room and said "Eww, it feels like someone just threw up!" We start looking around and we figure out that it is rain water coming onto our new carpet! We look further into the problem and discover that it is from the roof and raingutters and that water has been coming into our house through the stucco! We probably have wood rot, things will need to be cut into and replaced. Stucco redone, brick pulled off and the inside layers of the wall redone. Hopefully, cross our fingers, that there isn't mold growing that is or has been harming us over the last few years. We are now just waiting to see about the insurance and what steps we need to take.

Oh no!! I hope it is going to be ok!! Is your carpet ruined?
What timing! I'm sorry. Hope your insurance covers it. We were able to re-carpet and put down new flooring with insurance money minus the deductible. Good luck, and I'm so sorry!
