A few weeks ago, Brent promised Sam that he would blow up a pumpkin before he left on his mission! Well that conversation turned into duck hunting which then turned into skeet shooting. So today Steve, Sam, Brinley, Brent, and Darrel went up Farmington Canyon with some shot guns, rifles, clay pigeons, and some pumpkins! Sam was in heaven. He had the best time. They shot pumpkins up and shot clay pigeons...drank pop...ate sunflower seeds and beef jerky...and went wheeling through the canyon (well sort of). Brent has been coming over to our house to visit all through the summer and Sam has really enjoyed having him here. A couple of times, Sam has even snuck away and went over to Brent's house to see if he could go long boarding with him for a minute...and Brent would go...what a good guy. Brent is leaving on his mission on November 4, he will be going to the Albuquerque, New Mexico mission.
We will miss him.
